The Fates might have been cast out for a time, but they prowl on the edges of the universe looking for a way back...

Damien struggles to understand what freedom means now that he escaped from Tartarus. But with the Fates inevitable return, his oppressive father, Thanatos, threatens to be Damien's new jailor.

In an attempt to find his independence, Damien loses himself in a city where it is always night, and where a new vampire prince is on the rise. Slipping into a world of blood and supernatural drugs, Damien's tortured memories find him, as do the Fates. 

The gods are in check. Every new friendship or romance could be a deadly trap.  Any of the gods could be under the Fates' influence. The gods' timing must be precise, every move they make must be planned. Or... Damien might go rogue and end the entire universe. 

Will the Fates crawl back from across the universe, or will the gods maintain their hold over...
