With all the action taking place inside their Hoover Street house, the Moores navigate their lives in both challenging and good times, with family gatherings, private encounters, secret conversations, and a virtual soundtrack of popular music from those four transcendent decades. Based on research and recorded interviews, the stories in this book are not only true, but are reflective of life for most families struggling and ultimately succeeding in the United States during the daunting times of mid-20th Century.
