The Room

The storage room of their new house always has just what they need, and for the new occupants of this house, they have just what the house needs.

When Adam and Marcy moved in, they found a junk room that always seemed to have just the item they were looking for: a flathead screwdriver, a monkey wrench, a bucket among other items. But for one of them, the room and its secrets keep pulling them back.

Then they find the hole in the wall and they peer into it.

Originally published in 42 Magazine in 2003, "The Room" is a tale told in reverse, one that ends with a corpse. But where did it all begin?
