SYNOPSIS

He was born in one of the Jewish ghettos in Brooklyn;
life and experiences are described. In like manner,
the move to Long Island associated with a mix of
psychological trauma and ultimate satisfaction during
adolescence is shared. High school days were just like the
"Happy Days" TV series. College in the Deep South in the
mid 50's for a Jewish boy from Brooklyn is certainly an
experience worth reading. Medical school in Italy is yet
another more than interesting moment of life. Interfaith
marriage, with all its trials and tribulations, is part of this
story. Love, lost and found, is here in most vivid detail. He
was drafted into the US Army during the Viet Nam war
after completion of medical specialty training and went
up in rank from Captain to Lieutenant Colonel serving
for eight years in New Jersey and Frankfurt, Germany.
He eventually relocated to Italy with his family to
practice medicine. In addition to following him through
various periods of his life, he also inserts unusual specific
experiences. It all started and is yet to end on a STOOP,
which is the name of this work.
