Three Tall Tales

The 'Three Tall Tales' in this book comprise one short story and two 'story poems'.

The story, 'The Thing with Harry', is an interior monologue in which the character recollects his first youthful love affair. It is a self-pitying tragicomedy.

The poem, 'The Artists Who Burned a Million Quid' tells the story of the two artists who burned £1,000,000-worth of £50 notes on the Scottish island of Jura in 1994.

'Two Versions' tells, in two ways, the story of the writer's encounter with a traumatised ex-soldier.
