Publisher Description

A Type of Death A dramatic ending is usually a point of respite, an accumulation, appraisal, or a bringing together of competing, collusive, creative or destructive words, ideas, images, actions, and energies. Endings tend to be dramaturgically consistent with the genre of the piece, but there are exceptions. Endings are often regarded as an optimistic signalling of change, but they may also indicate anything from the termination of a cycle, or its perpetuation, to the inability to evade fate, and from the incapacity to intervene appropriately or adequately in the circumstances as defined by the drama, to the impossibility of closure.
