Volga Cruise: Moscow/ St Petersburg Part 1

This is the first part of an account of a 1,323 km, 7-day cruise from Moscow to St Petersburg. The journey along the Moscow Canal and along the Volga from Dubna to Yaroslavl is described in detail with the assistance of 190 images and maps. The sights of interest and the history of the various towns and cities encountered along the route are given in some detail. The shore excursions included Uglich, Yaroslavl and Goritsy with a side trip to the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. Hopefully the information will prove of assistance for a self-guided tour.
