"I'm going to need counselling..."
"No," he nuzzled into the crown of her head, planted a kiss. "Not you,"
"Yes me... you've seen what I am like when I'm with you."

"Damaged," she cut into his dismissal. "I'm broken and bended and cracked and bruised and hurt. I'm not what you signed up for."

Sam needs counselling. Two years ago, in the heat of the moment, she blocked the man she'd loved for ten years. He showed up at her church one Thursday evening during worship rehearsal and upended her life.

Eustace finally comes home and hunts his bride down. His wrist and knuckles still raw from the brusing and sprain when he punched a wall in her honour. But he'll claim Sam, broken or whole. For better or worse.
