The book is about Forsyte Saga. Winton (a warmer Soames) and his adulterously conceived daughter Gyp (a less selfish Fleur) and what happens when she marries the musician Fiorsen on impulse. Set in Galsworthy's milieu and with fully rounded characters behaving in surprisingly natural ways.
