A bonus afterword notes that this new edition pays homage to Listening Library's very first recording in 1955, of this same book. The added material also mentions the historical and social context of Verne's writings about other cultures, the tone of which would be considered insensitive or offensive by many people today. A remarkable book relating to the spirit of travel and the will power of a man with courage and integrity. A must read for lovers of reading....and life is after all a journey and when you read this book you really enjoy this journey.
A great book!
This is a very nice book by Jules Verne. It has lots of fun-filled adventure packed in it. So I feel that this is a must-read book for all ages. I really enjoyed reading this book. It is the best book I have ever read!!! It is truly worth applause👏 I loved this book...👍
