Little Women
Publisher Description
An Apple Books Classic edition.
Meet the Marches! Louisa May Alcott’s classic introduces us to four unforgettable sisters: beautiful Meg, tomboyish Jo, delicate Beth, and Amy, the indulged youngest of the lot. With their father serving as a Union chaplain, the Marches help their devoted mother, Marmee, make ends meet as their fortunes dwindle. The book starts with the family performing a small act of kindness for a family even less fortunate than they are and expands from there, drawing us in as the March girls grow up-and experience joy, hardship, failure, heartbreak, success, and love.
Alcott’s novel draws from her own life story. She herself was one of four sisters who all struck out on different paths. Open the pages of >Little Women and fall into a world of innocence and generosity-one that you’ll want to return to again and again.

Nice book, but a tad dissapointing
Overall, great. I wish Beth hadn’t died and Jo and Laurie had been together.
One of the greastest books in History!
Little women is a very nice book that not only shows you joy but also sorrow and teaches you the journey of life, no matter how hard but also very sweet. I love this book a lot!
Beautifully written! Unpopular opinion (maybe) but Jo and Bhaer forever!
And it was also an easy-read and quite refreshing, having just recovered from the digressions of Dickens (and I love Dickens). This whole book felt like a constant, warm hug, and it was especially useful to read it in these cold, wintry days. Beth’s character touched my heart on a deep level; her simplicity and her unselfish love for everyone made her my favourite, and I couldn’t stop my tears from falling when the inevitable happened. Overall, a really enjoyable book!
