El caballero del Azor

"El caballero del Azor" es un cuento de Juan Valera que nos traslada a los inicios de la Reconquista, y relata la historia de Plácido, un joven de origen humilde y misterioso, criado por monjes guerreros en una abadía de los Pirineos y que, en un incipiente estado cristiano encontrará una emocionante aventura y un amor sincero. Duelos, persecuciones, romance, honor e historia son los ingredientes de una divertida narración para toda la familia.

"El caballero del Azor" (The Goshawk Knight) is a tale by Juan Valera that takes us back to the beginnings of the Reconquista in Spain, and tells the story of Placido, a young man of humble and misterious origins, raised by warrior monks in an abbey in the Pyrenees and who, in an incipient Christian state, will find an exciting adventure and a sincere love. Duels, persecutions, romance, honor and history are the ingredients of an entertaining story for the whole family.
