The year is 2050. The place is North America—a completely different North America, plagued by drought and years of massive migrations of the populace. In a world where water is more precious than oil, the United States has splintered along ethnic and cultural lines into seven new countries. Atlantica, comprised of what were once the northeastern states, now controls the largest water resource.
