27 Episode I

In future New York, there exists only two races - Celluloid (Human) and product (Android). All androids are committed to serve the Celluloid race. The Cell government, known as Ordinance enacts laws like these to regulate and control human sympathy for the android race. All products are set to expire at 27 years, whereupon they are dismantled and recycled. The service cycles for products is hard labor, front line infantry, and prostitution. Although Cell is completely militarized, these are occupations that most Celluloids avoid. 


The 27 Saga focuses on the relationships between products and their human owners in a world where the concept of 'love' is extinct.
