ABSTRACT On the leading edge of civil fights law and bioethics/healthcare law, this Article provides the first law review analysis of the recently passed Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) of 2008, which extends important protection against discrimination in health insurance and employment. GINA also bolsters genetic research by freeing research subjects from the threat of genetic discrimination. This Article demonstrates how GINA further protects this society against the rising dangers of genetic discrimination beyond previously existing federal and state law.
