US Marshal Alejandro Santiago is living with regret. He's responsible for Penny's death. When her sister Audrey arrives in town, Alejandro makes it his mission to protect her from the men who killed Penny. He's never let his heart become this attached. Audrey's life gets turned upside down when she's notified of her sister's death. That, and Penny's son is now her ward. She wants justice for her sister and will do anything to get it. Even if that means going against Alejandro's orders and letting him handle the case alone.
