Tu and Hine-Moana are in love, and despite Old Grandmother Hinauri's warnings they marry and start a beautiful life together. But their happiness is short-lived and after being seduced by Chieftainess Hine-Titama, Tu's world falls apart and sends him on a journey to the land of the long white cloud.
