Burning Desire

I didn't plan on being carried out of a burning building by the most gorgeous man I've ever seen. But here we are.

He's six-foot-something of smoke-stained muscle, and he won't stop looking at me like I'm the only thing worth saving. One ride in the back of his truck, and I'm learning that firefighters don't just rescue you. Some of them take you home and make you forget your own name.

He calls me beautiful like it's a fact. Then he calls me other things, filthier things, and means every single one. I was supposed to be a damsel in distress. Instead, I'm in his bed, and he's making it very clear he has no intention of letting me leave.
