Clumsy’s Journey

This is one of the Love our Lakes Enviro-Stories books. Written by students from Bairnsdale West Primary School, Victoria, this book is about one of the Gippsland Lakes migratory birds, the red-necked stint. The students learnt about some local migratory birds, including the sharp-tailed sandpiper, curlew sandpiper and the red-necked stint, the distances they travel each year and the threats to their migration. Enviro-Stories is an innovative literacy education program that inspires learning about natal resource and catchment management issues.
