Community Knowledge on Malaria Among Febrile Patients in an Endemic District of Orissa, India (Report‪)‬

INTRODUCTION Malaria is one of the world's major public health concerns and contributes to 243 million clinical cases and under a million deaths each year. About two thirds of the confirmed cases of malaria in southeast Asia are reported from India (1). The distribution of malaria in the country is so widespread that 95% of the country's population lives in malaria-risk areas. The northeast, central and eastern states of India account for the maximum malaria burden in India (2).
