Creative Journey of Bipolar Disorder

Roz Long has taught and counseled high school and college students with mental disabilities for over 25 years. She received her master’s in special education at the University of Illinois Karnes Fellowship Program and studied under Dr. Sidney W. Bijou, who was the pioneer in behavioral and developmental psychology. Her pursuit in helping others led to a master’s degree in counselor education and a certificate in addiction counseling. She has dedicated her career to the support and advancement of the arts and continues to partner with not-for-profit organizations. She is the founder of many arts festivals and art venues, including an art center. Roz resides in Elmhurst, Illinois, with her husband and has two grown children.
