Twenty years ago, Lee-Kall and the City Guard fought off a dragon to save their people. But the horrors they witnessed did not leave with that dragon.

Now, Lee-Kall must once again hunt a dragon. However, capturing the beast is the least of her challenges. Getting it back to the King while thousands of young dragons hunt down her team, fighting through a foreign land where everything around them is ravenous, and dealing with her own lingering trauma mark only the beginning of their troubles.

In a race of survival, Lee-Kall will have to decide who she really is — the failure of the past that chooses to drug her brain into oblivion or the hero others see that is capable of great feats of valor. She better decide fast because those dragons are closing in.
