This book is based on the public lecture given by Einstein before the Prussian Academy of Sciences, in 1921, titled "Geometry and Experience".

In this lecture, Einstein explores the relationship between geometry and physics, especially the general theory of relativity. Why does this theory based on mathematics describe nature so well? Einstein introduces a few fundamental hypotheses which make geometry essentially a branch of physics. He also explores the question of the shape of the universe in this lecture, which still remains to be an open question after over 100 years.
