INTRODUCTION Is all community work with women feminist community work? Is all community work involving a woman community worker feminist? This paper suggests the answer to both questions is 'no'. It argues that feminist community work operates on particular principles of practice concerned with achieving certain social goals and developing alternative social and community processes. It is principles such as these which differentiate feminist community work practice from community work in general, and from community work with women.
