Milo Nightingale, a children's party clown known professionally as "Mr. Giggles," is struggling to find meaning beyond birthday parties when his biggest gig is suddenly canceled. Olympia "Ollie" Paxton is a guarded travel nurse who avoids emotional attachment by constantly moving from one temporary assignment to the next.

When they're brought together to help Alex, a traumatized seven-year-old boy who hasn't spoken since losing his parents, they must navigate the monastery's strict rules and their growing feelings for each other.
