Abstract In individuals with antisocial personality disorder, happiness correlates with an increase of emotional, social, and moral capacities; authenticity impulse control; feelings of responsibility; spirituality; and encounters with reality. Happiness may be a significant dimension of recovery in antisocial personality disorder because it may result in a more open, flexible, and positive social attitude (and associated healthier neurobiological functioning); a reduction of antisocial traits such as aggression, impulsivity, and hostility; and growth of social, emotional, and moral capacities. Therefore, happiness is a therapeutic-significant issue. More research is needed in the rote of happiness and related recovery in antisocial personality disorder in order to provide more adequate treatment and prevention programs.
