Learn Japanese With Jokes is a great way for you to improve your English. So how does it work?


Joke: On each page you have a Japanese joke. The jokes have been selected so that they are not too difficult and don’t rely on puns. 


Audio: Above each Japanese joke is an audio file. Click on the file and you can hear the joke while you are reading it (which will really help you with your pronunciation). 


Vocabulary: If your Japanese is not great, you can read the vocabulary in blue before you start reading and listening to the joke.

 

Translation: If you want to check your understanding, there’s a translation on the following page. 


Cartoons: Some amusing cartoons will help set the joke in context.


Keyhole Culture: There is now a ‘keyhole culture’ section between the jokes so that you review your knowledge of Japanese culture as well!
