Love Worth the Wait

Maria grew up idolizing Eric Thomlin, her older brother's best friend. And as she grew, so did her feelings for him. During a Christmas party, her mother embarasses her and she runs. Eric follows to make sure she's okay, but when things turn intimate, she confesses her true feelings.

When Eric hears Maria loves him, he runs. She's too young and too innocent for the likes of him. He's traded that night and that's the end of it. Until he moves home four years later and there she is in his parents' kitchen.

Maria's moved on, she'll be engaged as soon as her business is in the black. Or maybe her business is an excuse like her best friends say. 
When Eric asks for her help with his post-hockey career, and she sees the chance for her dream project. But as she spends more time with Eric, she recognizes her own loneliness. And when her life blows apart, she turns to him to pick up the pieces.

Can Eric prove that he's worthy of her love? Or will his fear of hurting her make him run again, this time for good?
