Elara Vance lives a quiet, controlled life, finding solace in her work as a theater prop master. Her world is shattered when a magnificent antique mirror she acquires for a new play becomes the catalyst for a horrific act of violence, leaving a friend dead and a town reeling.

Now the mirror is in her house, a silent, brooding presence in her bedroom. The entity within it has a new target. It begins to show her things in the dark glass—a version of herself that is confident, sensual, and terrifyingly powerful. It promises her everything she desires, demanding only one thing in return: control.

As Elara fights a desperate battle for her own mind, her twin sister Lyra is tormented by visions of the encroaching darkness, a terrifying side effect of the psychic link that has bound them since childhood. This bond is their only secret weapon. To survive, they must uncover the mirror's history and return to the abandoned mansion where the evil was born, forcing a final confrontation with the beautiful, smiling monster in the glass.
