This book is an anthology of 91 quotes from Miyamoto Musashi and 51 facts about Miyamoto Musashi.



Musashi have fought in more than 60 duels without suffering defeat once.

Musashi's father, Shinmen Munisai, was an skilful martial artist and master of the sword and jutte weapon.

In 1612 Musashi engages in what is regarded to be his most famous fight. His opponent, named Sasaki Kojiro, dying by the use of a death blow from Musashi’s bokken. The contest took place on the island of Funajima. Musashi carved his bokken from an oar whilst in transit to the fight, crafting it slightly longer than the nodachi that would be used by Kojiro.

Musashi was trained by Zen monk Takuan in Buddhism.
