Harry Max Harrison was an American writer from the world of comics and science-fiction magazines of the 1950s. An amazingly prolific author, who gradually took on more serious themes, during his career he published over 50 novels and numerous short stories. During the 1950s and 1960s, he was the main writer of the Flash Gordon newspaper strip, but today he is much better known for his writing, particularly his humorous and satirical science fiction. 

 “Navy Day” is a short story, published in 1954. The plot is based on the traditional rivalry between the Army and Navy service branches. Amazing technology, excellent character development and wonderful plot twists. This is a truly great book for children and also everyone, who is interested with science fiction.
