The information presented within these pages is meant to educate and raise awareness about the heinous crime of child sexual abuse, maltreatment and neglect. Child abuse is a criminal act, punishable by law, and has the magnitude of a national crisis. We must urgently improve the protection, prevention, and treatment strategies for children who suffer abuse and its debilitating consequences. May this work be a beacon of hope in the darkness of despair, lighting the path towards a brighter day.
