Marcus discovers a glitch in the machine. A glitch is good. He can escape. The machine is always watching. Always aware. Humans are its slaves. 

The machine controls his actions. Forces him to play nice. 

The glitch is a gift from God. An opportunity he could not pass up. And watch out if anyone gets in his way. 

Freedom from the machine. That's all he wants.
