October is officially our favorite month! It has everything we love, cool weather, pumpkin lates, and of course, Halloween. We think pets must love this month, too, because it isn’t too hot and it isn’t too cold, it is just right.







Plus, if you are a pet lover, there’s so much you can do this month, from local Barktoberfests to Chilloweens. I can only imagine what cute costumed pets we will be watching on TikTok this month.







We have lots of great stuff in this issue for you. First, you get to meet our assistant editor and all around animal lover, Shannon Gregoire. Shannon, a senior veterinary student at Western and Massachusetts native, got to enjoy the beautiful New England weather with some cute farm animals for her photo shoot. In just a few months, she’s going to be Dr. Gregoire and we hope that some of you get to be her clients.







In this issue, we also have some fun stuff like how to create your own pet costumes, how to embrace veterinary telemedicine, and why you should consider fostering a pet. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we have had putting it all together.
