Residing in Orlando, Florida, April is a former broadcast journalist, education lobbyist and nonprofit manager.



She spent the majority of her career devoted to crisis-intervention programs for children, youth and families. While she is honored to document past professional opportunities, her greatest achievement has been realized in overcoming substance abuse and dealing with mental illness.



April openly shares the intimate details of her life through the struggles and painful obstacles along the road to a joyful recovery.
