An ever increasing meat consumption in a world of more than 7 billion people requires a high toll of wild animals, environment, water resources, air quality and climate.
Cattle are kept constantly impregnated by insemination, so their milk will never stop flowing, while their newborn calves are carted off to become veal. To produce milk and cheese mother cows, should put calves on the world and preferably at full stretch. Female calves grow up to dairy cow, the bulls go to the meat industry. Milk, cheese and meat production are inextricably linked.
Also, other mammals such as rabbits, pigs and goats are kept constantly impregnated by insemination to produce meat at full strength.
Cattle are commonly infected with bovine leukemia virus (BLV), a cancer causing virus which can be transmitted from cow to calf via the milk. Most infected cattle are healthy and the infection is latent persistent. Consumption of non-pasteurized dairy products, raw milk or cheese made from raw milk, or undercooked BBQ beef could transmit infectious virus to humans.
