Resilience! is a comparative study of the pursuit of resilience in an international geopolitical context, with particular attention to and key insights from the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom and continental Europe.

The importance and pursuit of resilience - or building up the wherewithal, the resources and capacities to adapt to change and cope with challenges - is underappreciated and seldom acknowledged as a critical national security or political objective. Yet the idea of resilience is key to unlocking a deeper understanding of current geopolitical trends and societal crises and responding to them.

How and why countries should seek to build resilience at the international level in times of geopolitical upheaval, and how and why societies should do the same at a regional or local level, is the core and promise of this book.
