Descrizione dell’editore

This book was created with the intention of comprehending life from the perspective of death, sorrow and solitude. What may seem morbid to eyes of many, in reality is a different way of showing the introspection through the power of words and images presented here.

“Revertere Ad Locum Tuum” is a Latin sentence that means “Go back to where you came from”. It´s written on the entrance of São João Batista Cemetery (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). It was on this location where almost all the pictures from this book were taken. Associated with a curse this sentence also serves as reflection about fragility of existence of each one of us and the need for better and more serene understanding of death as a natural and necessary process.

The quotes and excerpts from the poems are of universal authors. I´ve matched them in the best possible way with the images.
