Same Old Lion And The Exposure Of Stat Pad Arm

Immediately following the Season Of Combat, Mrs. Drof, the ruler of Hand Land, is feeling good about the mild to moderate success of her nation’s hero, Same Old Lion, who won nine out of sixteen battles against heroes from other nations for the second consecutive year. That’s because Same Old Lion has a track record of being one of the worst heroes in the Nations of Freedom and Liberty so his average to above average record in battle (which is directly related to the average to above average honor, glory and riches for the people of Hand Land) is a significant improvement.


But Mrs. Drof’s Master of Hero Development, Quincy Roberts, isn’t satisfied. He believes that Same Old Lion can be a more powerful hero if his current Head Trainer, Sir James Decorum, is executed and replaced by Bushy Beard, a brilliant man from one of the most successful nations in the Nations of Freedom and Liberty. According to Quincy Roberts, Bushy Beard can help Same Old Lion to better use his underachieving superpower of Stat Pad Arm and that would lead to the most honor, glory and riches in Hand Land in over sixty years. Though Mrs. Drof loves Sir James Decorum, she agrees to Quincy Roberts’ plan in part because she recently invested the largest sum of money ever for any single superpower in the Nations of Freedom and Liberty just to keep Stat Pad Arm in Same Old Lion’s control.


Because of Bushy Beard’s supposed incredible intellect, Same Old Lion trusts that he will see positive results once the next Season of Combat begins even though his training with Bushy Beard doesn’t go smoothly. He struggles with Bushy Beard’s bullying coaching style, Bushy Beard’s lazy work ethic and the increasing inconsistency of his Stat Pad Arm.


Once the Season of Combat begins, Same Old Lion fights worse than he’s fought in the last ten years and the biggest reason for his failures is his constantly malfunctioning Stat Pad Arm. With depression, poverty and crime spreading throughout Hand Land as enemy heroes terrorize the peasants and plunder their goods, Same Old Lion, Mrs. Drof, Quincy Roberts and Bushy Beard must quickly find a way to get Same Old Lion’s Stat Pad Arm back on track. If they cannot, then this year’s Season of Combat won’t be worth saving, their people’s suffering will only grow worse and Mrs. Drof may be forced to take drastic measures.
