Savage Promises

One look at his RateMyProfessor page tells you everything you need to know: Jason Bryant Godwin is a nightmare wrapped in designer suits. His one-star reviews paint him as condescending, arrogant, and completely unbearable. But dropping his class isn't an option—it's the last thing I need to graduate.

He despises me, and the feeling is mutual. I'd love nothing more than to bury this stupidly handsome man six feet under, but I've managed to put up with his BS all semester.

Until today.

After catching my boyfriend sneaking out of my roommate's bed, I was ready to write the whole day off. But then Professor Godwin pulls me aside with an offer I didn't see coming: attend the exclusive Mid-Season Law Social as his plus-one. The event is for top students and faculty only—the kind of opportunity that could make or break my future.
