Scarecrows and Corpses

Meredith Gardner is a busy wife, mother, and homemaker who volunteers her time on community food drives, as a Cub Scout den mother, an Avon saleswoman, and as a classroom assistant at the local elementary school. She's got a curious mind and instinct for what's happening in her beloved community that helps with her amateur sleuthing when she inserts herself into her husband Doug's sheriff investigations.

What will happen when Merry (Meredith) and her scout troop find a body in a local Halloween corn maze in SCARECROWS and CORPSES? When her friend is accused of murder, Merry is determined to prove him innocent and find the true killer.

Someone in town is not whom they pretend to be. Who murdered farmer Fred Granger? Could it be the local butcher Sam Tilley, the man without a past? Or maybe it was the nervous banker, Harry Logan. What's he hiding? Perhaps it's the mysterious phantom who stalks Merry and her children trick or treating? Or could it be someone else?

Merry must protect her son's life and outwit a diabolical killer on the spookiest night of the year.
