The experiences of Germany and Japan after World War II have been nothing short of miraculous. Germany and Japan, who for over 70 years have benefited from the international order and its value system and medium-sized powers today, should play a larger role in world affairs by employing their multilateralist abilities and cooperating more with other medium-sized powers, the United States, and the new, rising powers.
