SmartReads in Scots Dracula is an animated and adapted classic for children, teenagers and adults with full-size colour video animations as well as sound effects and music. The story remains true to the brilliant original horror story but the shortened narrative is retold in Scots language to create a unique dark adaptation of Bram Stoker’s original.


‘Dracula’ follows the grim adventure of Jonathan Harker as he faces the terrifying vampire known as Count Dracula. During his stay at the Count’s castle in Transylvania, Harker begins to notice strange things about the Count’s behaviour. He soon realises that he is the Count’s prisoner. When the Count comes to England, more and more terrible things begin to happen. As the danger grows, a handful of people join forces to hunt down the Count and stop him from ruining any more innocent lives.
