For twenty-two years she worked as a public health nurse with cancer patients and caregivers. She found herself saying the same things over and over, passing along very basic information that can make an enormous difference in effectively dealing with cancer pain.

She has never found a book that she could recommend to her patients that would be helpful in managing their pain.

Barbara Anderson, R.N. is a graduate of St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, in New York City and a Board Certified Hospice and Palliative Care nurse. For twenty-two years she provided loving care for cancer patients at Cabrini Hospice, NY. She is a native New Yorker from Brooklyn who loves music, drawing and collecting masks from all over the world. This is her first book.
