Socialite Eden Carlbough was born into privilege, but when her beloved father dies suddenly she is shocked to discover the money has run out, leaving her heiress of nothing but debt.
Betrayed and abandoned by the man she loved, Eden throws herself into a new life. She invests the last of her money into a girl's camp owned by her best friend Candy and begins work as a camp counsellor. She didn't expect it to be easy, but she never thought the little monsters would literally run her up an apple tree. Eden is equally surprised when she finds herself falling into the capable arms of orchard owner Chase Elliot.
And while her handsome neighbour's overbearing ways are highly irritating, Chase's touch ignites feelings that make Eden want to succumb to temptation. Perhaps there's more to life than money after all...

When her father dies, young socialite Eden Carlbough finds herself part of the working class. Trying to make her way in the world, she invests her meager assets in a girls' summer camp. Then one day, some of the campers lead her into apple orchards owned by the handsome, stalwart Chase Elliot. And the only thing standing in the way of true love is Eden's determination to be self-sufficient. Narrator Alyson Silverman lends a light, youthful, and appropriate voice to Eden. She also reads flawlessly. But listeners will soon realize the performance is only that: a reading. Silverman's narration lacks verve; she doesn't add any color to characters or depth to descriptions, thereby failing to enrich what amounts to a pleasant but formulaic romance novel. A Silhouette paperback.
