The Great Commission

In light of Jesus’ command in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations and then the end will come.” Could it be that the witness of the gospel that Jesus was referring to is a visible testimony of the truth, that it is more than a sermon but rather a reality. Could the gospel witness be more than a message? Is the gospel a way of life, tangible and manifesting God on the earth? Just as Jesus interacted with man when He came to the earth, perhaps the gospel interacts with man in every sphere of life. Therefore, our current methodology of presenting the gospel in the form of a message to educate the need for Christ is possibly limited without a visible witness of an accompanying gospel in society. The gospel witness could present Christ in society and leave an undeniable visible testimony that lives beyond a message and takes on a visible sustaining system known as the Kingdom of God.
