This book was so boring I was happy when I finished it. Part one is good, part two and three felt empty, filled with inconsequential dialogue and scenes.
The book keeps telling us that the protagonist is the best lawyer but gives us nothing to uphold its premise.
The investigation and court proceedings happened mostly off page and when they were written felt so forced and straightforward that I guessed the ending midway through. Even the romance happens off page, but we have two pages about turtle soup and names of pets. Disappointing.
