I always get what I want. That's just how I've always been because I'm tenacious. It's what makes a great leader legendary. The metaphorical eye on the prize, I will do anything to make it mine.
And I want her mine. Cat.
But the thing is, I broke her heart years ago in High School. Yes, I broke records as only a Sophomore taking my High School team to state and winning; but I also broke something else along the way—Cat's heart. In college, I won the Heisman Trophy and now I'm up for the NFL draft. What does that tell you about me? I don't take no for answer. And I will work HARD to reach my goals. No.Matter.What.
I'm not arrogant, I'm just determined. But even great champs make mistakes. And the mistake I made years ago, I'm determined to make it up to her. For every ounce of pain I caused her, I'd make it up. Oh yard after yard I'd go for her. Until she begs me to stop. This I promise you.
CAT
He was the man four years ago, and he's the man now, but frankly darling, I don't give a darn. I don't care how hot he looks or how badly I needed his rescuing when I at the swankiest industry party I'd ever been after landing the cover of the Sports Illustrated swim suit magazine. He had nothing to do with my success. Well, maybe he did actually. Proving him wrong and making him miss me was my greatest weapon on my arsenal belt.
I don't care about the thousands of fans who worship him. I don't care that he's rumored to be the number one NFL draft pic. My assumptions were right about him in High School. Leopards don't change their spots darlin'. I worked too hard to get where I am to be broken again.
