The Witness

This novelette is a fictional story about a man who is hiding out in Toronto as a participant in the witness protection program after testifying against the son of a high level gangster. Somehow he is found by the criminals and hides out on his own in the company of Yellowknife Native Americans. In northern Canada he finds two mountain lion cubs and enjoys their company as he gets to know them well.
