War, Momma, and Me

Kesh recounts his experience as a child during the first five years of the Liberian Civil War, and the courage of his mother whose attitude and actions teaches him how to navigate life. When an opportunity arises, he leaves Liberia to live with his family in America. They have no idea how the war has impacted him, so he ventures on a spiritual quest taking him to India and other countries. Woven throughout his story is his mother's wisdom, wit, and humor.
